Stain (flux)

STAIN FLUX

Using stains as underglazes may rob the glaze of its flux causing crawling or dry spots. To alleviate this problem most stain suppliers have underglaze flux compounds to mix with the stain. Typically 10% flux to 90% is used (pinks and browns may require more flux).
