This is used to make gold lusters. It is traditionally made from solid or gold chips that are dissolved by Aquea Regia, to form gold chloride, and then dissolved in the resins or lavender oil to brush it onto prefired and glazed pottery. It is likely part of at least some current luster formulas like Hanover's etc."
