Calcium Zircon Silicate

CALCIUM ZIRCONIUM SILICATE

Chemistry %

CaO23.43
SiO225.10
ZrO251.46

Was used in high fire glazes as the sole opacifier. It can be blended with other zirconium products for special finishes.
It is no longer manufactured.

This was an ideal opacifier for use in chrome-tin pink and maroon glazes since the calcium enhanced the development of the color.
