Library: Adding Materials to INSIGHT's Materials Database

This chapter in the lessons section of the book (and matching video at digitalfire.com) shows different ways to deal with situations in INSIGHT where it does not know about materials you are trying to enter into recipes. These include using the chemistry of a generic equivalent, searching more carefully to see if it has a different name in the database, downloading a custom materials file from ceramicmaterials.info and actually entering the material's chemistry into the database by hand. An case study example of adding a native volcanic ash is used to demonstrate the last method.
